Here are a few of the fossils that have been found embedded in rock. New Zealand has a lot of fossils even locally. Have you ever been to Kawhia and looked at Puti Point for fossil Belemnites in the cliff faces?

The Waipa County Council have proposed as part of their Te Awamutu main street upgrade that heavy vehicles like trucks be banned from using the main street. We are going to look at whether trucks are a problem in the main street and if so what solutions could be available.

This Blog has been created so that you can share websites that have worked for you and questions that you may have about what to do. Stream Creatures Help

Once you get started you can post questions about anything to do with your study on this Blog and I will post some information or pictures that might help.

Stream Creatures

The focus this Term for Room 9 is going to be about the creatures that live in the stream. Our BIG QUESTION is: "Why are the creatures that live in the streams important to us?"

From here you need to find out which creatures live in the streams round Te Awamutu and decide which is the one that you want to study. The Learning Cave for Room 9 contains some good suggestions about which creatures you could study with some useful websites and downloadable information to print off.

Next you need to generate about ten good questions about the creature that you have chosen. Use the seven question words and keywords about your creature like: food, habitat etc. to help you.
